Lufthansa is to increase capacity on its Heathrow-Frankfurt service from spring.
The German carrier said it would replace its Airbus A319s with larger A320 and A321s on the business travel route from March 30.
It will result in almost 1,000 additional seats every week.
Christian Schindler, Lufthansa’s general manager in the UK and Ireland, said the airline would also make slight changes to its timetable.
“I am delighted that we are able to make this added commitment to our passengers across the South East of England,” he said.
“We are also further improving the convenience of our flights with some subtle timetable adjustments.
“This will make it easier for Lufthansa customers to plan their journeys by creating a better spread of our 12 daily services between Heathrow and Frankfurt in both directions across the day.”
