Egencia is introducing the ability to search and book flights within its Trip Navigator mobile app for customers based in Europe.
The Expedia-owned company said it is the first TMC to build its own app which offers faster flight search and global air booking capability, as well as featuring personalised features for travellers.
The Egencia app uses profile and stored information from all its booking channels to pre-populate data fields such as frequent destinations, airports, airlines, cabin class and payment preferences. Information on company policy and preferred rates can also be incorporated within Trip Navigator.
Egencia president Rob Greyber said: “We continually invest in global technology that allows us to focus on making business travel better. Egencia mobile air booking is unique in how it tailors the experience for each traveller.
“Whether booking from North America or Europe, our travellers see a curated view of options, quickly leading them to the precise flight that fits their needs.”
Air booking through Trip Navigator was previously only available in North America and has now been extended to western Europe, the Nordic region and Asia Pacific initially for Apple devices with Android versions set to be introduced “shortly”.
