Easyjet is expanding its presence in the corporate travel sector with the launch of a new ‘industry team’.
Led by Easyjet’s head of industry, Iain Withers, the team will focus on development of the TMC sector throughout Europe.
The airline said it wants to “enhance its partnerships” within managed travel, which now represents more than 20 per cent of its business.
The new team will focus on product awareness, stakeholder engagement, distribution simplicity and driving sales to corporates through the TMCs.
“We continue to evolve our TMC offering to ensure that the sector has the tools, knowledge and dedicated support to continue to support our mutual corporate clients and their travellers with their travel investment,” said Easyjet’s head of business, Anthony Drury.
“This new team will take a consultative approach and work with TMC partners to support business customers and travellers.
“In addition to the new team a selection of new enhancements for TMC customers including an online training academy for point-of-sale agents, improved customer service offerings and greater support on the ground will be launched,” he said.
In December, Easyjet became the first airline to offer real-time aircraft tracking to its mobile app.
