Eastern Airways today (September 21) announces that as part of its new franchise partnership with Flybe, its flights are now available to book through the Flybe website.
The five-year franchise agreement between the two carriers officially commences on 29 October, after which point all Eastern Airways services will carry BE flight codes. Passengers booking tickets on or after this date will be redirected to the Flybe website, while bookings up to the 28th will take place on the airline’s own site.
Both Eastern Airways and Flybe say they will benefit from the alliance, as it broadens connection opportunities for customers.
The partnership began on September 1 as Eastern Airways provided four aircraft to operate six of Flybe’s existing routes in Scotland, including services from Sumburgh, Kirkwall, Stornoway, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Matthew Herzberg, head of commercial at Eastern Airways, said: “The BE flight code gives our customers greater connectivity to Flybe’s routes and global airline associated network with one single, seamless booking, along with online check-in.”
