Doha’s Hamad International (HIA) is introducing a $10 departure tax on all airlines operating from the airport.
The Passenger Facility Charge will be applied to all departing and transferring passengers (connecting within 24 hours), which will be charged within the price of the airline ticket.
HIA said the tax will enable them to keep many of its services free of charge.
The charge will be applicable for tickets issued from August 30 2016 onwards for travel from December 1 2016.
This charge exempts infants under the age of two without a seat, transit passengers that do not require an aircraft change and involuntary rerouting.
