Delta Air Lines is increasing the number of payment options available to international travellers booking flights through the airline’s own website.
The changes will include online bank transfers made in real-time, which are available in 10 European countries and Singapore.
The payment method is offered alongside existing gift, debit and credit card options.
The US carrier said it’s the first airline to offer bank transfers as an option to customers in Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
“As a global airline we are focused on making Delta easier to do business with and this includes acknowledging that customers around the world have different preferences when it comes to paying online,” said Nat Pieper, senior VP Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“Offering online bank transfers provides greater choice and convenience, expanding payment options available to deliver a safe, secure and increasingly popular way to purchase travel on delta.com.”
