Delta Air Lines will double its London services to around 30 weekly flights in the autumn, the carrier has announced.
Delta plans to restart three weekly flights to London Heathrow from Seattle on 7 October, followed by four weekly flights from Detroit starting from 11 October. Services from New York's John F Kennedy Airport will increase from daily to twice-daily on 6 October. The carrier will also continue its current daily service to Heathrow from Atlanta.
The announcement came as the United Kingdom this week reopened to fully vaccinated US travellers without quarantine requirements. Travellers to London will need to provide both proof of vaccination and negative results from a Covid-19 test taken within three days of departure and then take another test within two days after arrival. They will need to take a test within three days of departure for re-entry to the United States as well.
