British Airways is moving its Porto service from Heathrow to Gatwick as well as increasing the frequency to four-times weekly.
The route from Gatwick will initially operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Currently, the Heathrow services flies twice-weekly.
It will increase to a six-times weekly service in the summer, with additional flights on Mondays and Wednesdays, the airline said.
Flight code BA2782 covers the LGW-Porto leg and BA2783 the return. Flight times differ depending on the day of travel. BA is rostering an A319 on to the route.
Last week, BA announced a new route from Gatwick to Costa Rica starting in May 2016.
