British Airways will increase the number of flights it operates from London to Newcastle from June 2.
Operated by an Airbus A320, the additional service on a Monday and Wednesday will increase the number of flights to 41 flights each week.
BA’s head of UK and Ireland sales and marketing, Richard Tams, who last week was confirmed as executive VP for China and the Philippines for BA, said: “Our route between London and Newcastle is at the very heart of our domestic network.
“The number of flights on offer means customers can connect through London to our entire network of destinations, offering great opportunities for both leisure and business travellers.”
The airline has also added extra flights from Heathrow to Vienna, Stockholm and Athens for the Autumn.
From October 26, it will add six additional flights per week to Vienna, one extra service to Stockholm on Tuesdays and another to Athens on Saturdays.
