AMERICAN AIRLINES, now the world's largest air carrier, reports an increase in February traffic across the Atlantic of 7.4% compared to last year, and by 12.28% system wide. Capacity was up by 10.6%. American currently operates up to 19 flights a day from three UK airports to seven US gateway cities. Across Europe, American operates 195 flights a week from nine airports in seven European countries to seven US gateway cities. American, together with its regional affiliate airlines, flies to over 230 destinations within the US and into Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean and Japan.
