Low fuel prices and favourable currency conditions helped Air France-KLM swing back into profit.
The continued slump in oil prices offset the airline’s troubles with unions and the impact of November’s Paris attacks.
The airline reported a net profit of €127 million for 2015 against a loss of €216 million in 2014.
Revenue rose from €24.9 billion to €26 billion. The company’s fuel bill fell 6.7% to €6.2 billion.
Air France KLM said the fourth quarter 2015 results were affected by the terrorist attacks in November. The estimated impact was €120 million.
CEO Alexandre de Juniac said: “In spite of the favourable environment created by lower fuel prices, we confirm our ambition to improve our competitiveness within an economic and geopolitical context that remains very uncertain.”
