CITY CENTRE hotels at competitive prices (an euphemism for cheap) are all the rage now with the lodgings industry
Joining in with the expansion is Travelodge, said to be the UK's fastest growing budget hotel chain, which has opened its second hotel in Manchester city centre.
The 116-bedroom property, located on Great Ancoats Street, Ardwick, at the end of the A57(M) will offer room rates from just £26 per night for either a double or family room.
Also just opened in Inverness is the Fairways Travelodge just off the A9 dual carriageway and with the golf course of the same name next door.
All Travelodge bedrooms offer a king size bed, en-suite bathroom with power shower, colour TV, free tea and coffee making facilities and an in-room entertainment system that offers pay on demand movie, telephone and Internet service.
A breakfast service of fresh orange juice, cereal bar, muffin, fresh fruit and tea or coffee is available to all guests and can be delivered to their room between 0700 and 0900. It's also on sale throughout the day.
