Having taken over the InterContinental Dubai (pictured above) in March, the Brussels-based hotel group announces further developments in the Dubai region.
Radisson SAS, the luxury brand of Rezidor SAS, will open a new hotel in Dubai in 2010. Standing at 460m high and modelled on the Asian lotus flower, the futuristic Regent Dubai Canal Point (pictured right) will boast 250 hotel rooms, with 255 serviced apartments and 105 residential apartments.
Rezidor SAS president and chief executive Kurt Ritter outlined Rezidor”s plans for the Regent brand: ”opening a showcase property in Dubai is part of a long term strategy to further enhance and develop the Regent brand.”
The hotel group also plans to open the Palm Hotel in Jumeirah, but details are yet to be revealed.
