Raffles Singapore has announced plans to re-open in the second half of 2018 following an extensive restoration project that commenced in February this year.
The hotel has introduced new suite categories to mark the announcement, including Residence, Promenade and Studio, increasing the property’s total number of suites from 103 to 115.
In addition, the Raffles Arcade will feature social spaces as well as a gift shop, a History Gallery showcasing the heritage of the hotel, and the new Raffles Spa. The property’s existing bars and restaurants, the Long Bar, Tiffin Room and Writers Bar, will continue to serve guests in refreshed surroundings.
Raffles says part of the project included updating its event spaces, with the Jubilee Hall converted into a ballroom for up to 300 guests. All other event areas will be refreshed, including the East India Room, Casuarina Suite and the outdoor options of the Palm Garden, the Lawn and Gazebo. The previous ballroom has been renamed Palm Ballroom as a nod to the Raffles emblem.
Phase three of the restoration project will commence on December 13, at which point the hotel will be fully closed.
