LONDON CITY proper, that is the square mile incorporated by Royal Charter, is to have a new hotel. The Apex City of London Hotel will open in early Autumn. Situated at No. 1 Seething Lane, steps away from Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, and formerly an office block, a ”20m investment has transformed the structure into a contemporary hotel with 130 rooms. Facilities include a conference centre providing five separate entities, including one theatre-style room accommodating up to 80 and top grade bar, brasserie and restaurant. A basement-level gym, sauna and steam room have also been incorporated into the final design.
