Hotel chain Hilton has announced it will open two new properties”one in Limerick (pictured top) and one in Dublin Kilmainham (pictured bottom). Both hotels will open next year and will be operated under long-term management contracts by Hilton due to both locations already owned by Irish development company Lalco.
Lalco is investing ”80m ($101.5) into the development of the two hotels. More than 250 jobs will be created in Limerick and Dublin. The 184-room Limerick Hilton will have an entire floor dedicated to business travellers with an executive lounge and 14 meeting rooms on the seventh floor overlooking the city. A LivingWell health club with pool, full gym and beauty spa will also be developed with function facilities for 450 guests.
The Hilton Dublin Kilmainham will feature 120 rooms over five floors and will have meeting rooms and leisure facilities including a large gym and hydrotherapy pool.
Hilton area president for UK and Ireland Howard Friedman commented: ”Strategically Hilton is looking to increase its presence in key international markets, and with these two developments we will have a total of nine properties in Ireland”s Hilton family
