Singapore-based serviced apartment operator Frasers Hospitality is set to open its first property in Saudi Arabia with Fraser Suites Riyadh.
The 95-apartment property launched a soft opening on 1 February and will move into full operation in the spring. Frasers Hospitality says it has been planning a step into Saudi Arabia for some time and that liberalisation in the country has been a “key influencing factor” in expanding into the market, with two further properties planned.
Each apartment at the property is equipped with kitchens/kitchenettes, high speed complimentary internet access and entertainment systems. Guest facilities include 24-hour security and concierge, a restaurant, lobby coffee shop and meeting rooms, as well as a rooftop swimming pool, a fully equipped gym, sauna, steam room facilities and a massage suite. There is also a play area for children.
The property is set near Riyadh’s commercial business district and joins a Middle East portfolio that includes apartments in Doha, Dubai and Bahrain. Two further Fraser Suites are planned in Saudi Arabia – Al Khobar will open next year and Jeddah is set to launch in 2020.
