A conference on security in hotels and the meetings industry is to be held in Stockholm, Sweden on November 17-18.
Security in the Meeting Industry (SMI), for which Business Travel Europe is a media partner, is aimed at travel managers, agencies, meeting planners, hotel and conference centre managers, conference buyers and security consultants.
Among the main speakers are David Orlob, vp loss prevention for Marriott International Lodging, David Reece, director of security for Time Warner EMEA, David Perl, chief executive of security management company Docleaf and Peter Ryan, security consultant for the International Olympic Committee.
The programme includes sessions on crisis management, the key objectives of security, case studies, procedures and training for security and new technological aids to security.
