AMERICAN VISITORS will travel to Europe in record numbers this year despite the dollar's precipitous decline against the euro. Travel agencies say bookings are stronger than they had expected and may reflect pent-up demand from the post-September 11 2001 period in which many Americans were reluctant to travel very far from home.
