Ãngel Mullor has announced his resignation as ceo of Iberia to pursue “personal and professional projects.”
Mr Mullor joined the Spanish national carrier in 1996 as managing director and became its ceo in 2001.
During that time, Mr Mullor has overseen radical strategic plans, the privatisation of the airline and its joining of the oneworld alliance as well as major projects like fleet renewal, a new management structure and improved use of technology.
During his ten year tenure, the airline has also made a profit every year.
He said: "I have spent ten years in Iberia, much longer than I imagined when I came to handle the company's privatisation.
"I depart with the satisfaction of having worked with a first-rank team of people and having achieved all the objectives we set out in the three strategic plans established in this period."
