IT company KDS has launched an end to end tool which it said completely integrated expanse and travel management.
The Paris-based company said its KDS Corporate 6.0 was the industry's “first on demand travel and expense solution. KDS said Corporate 6.0 will handle the entire travel process from pre-trip approvals and traveller preferences through to post-trip expense management and reporting. At the formal launch in Paris last week, Yves Weisselberger, KDS ceo, said that previously self booking and expenses were not connected or interfaced. This made it difficult to implant an effective company travel policy from data indifferent bases.
He added: "We are now moving into the post-SBT world with the software we are introducing, being able to reconcile your invoice with your booking."
Mr Weisselberger said that Corporate 6.0, which KDS and IT company Microsoft had worked on for nine months, introduced six new modules.
These were: a travel arranger dashboard; an offline request facility; a cash advance management and expense facility; a central billing to manage invoices; a business intelligence which travel managers can access for all information related to travel and expense management and a virtual interface which integrates the whole travel and expense management process.
The search and booking function has also been enhanced to access fares from low cost carriers and also "new types of fares are now managed like 'one way fares' including mixed-class and flexible return fares, a capability long sought by both frequent flyers and travel buyers."
He said the travel arranger dashboard travel assistants a quick calendar view of all trips, so they could sort them per traveller and duplicate, cancel or create templates as required.
Mr Weisselberger said: "KDS has achieved a major milestone in reshaping the technology supplier landscape.
"By completely integrating travel and expense management, we have taking the industry offering to a new level and have in the process significantly expanded our solutions driven approach."
