Industry veterans Toby Joseph and John Morgan have joined Eos Airlines, the business
class only airline between London and New York.
Mr Joseph, who left TQ3 Travel Solutions in March, becomes Eos's executive vp global sales.
Mr Morgan, currently commercial director at GB Airways, becomes Eos's vp of Europe and general manager for the UK.
David Spurlock, Eos's founder and ceo, said: "The opportunity to add executives of the calibre of Toby Joseph and John Morgan to the executive team marks an important strategic move for Eos at this time.
"Our growth over the first six months, including a 74% sales gain in April against March, and the extraordinarily positive response from business travellers has borne out our business model."
Mr Joseph, 46, served for five years as global chief operating officer for TQ3 Travel Solutions before it was taken over by BCD Holding earlier this year.
He had previously worked for 15 years for Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
Mr Morgan has worked for GB Airways since 2004. He previously worked for BA in Melbourne, later becoming its general manager for business sales for the UK and Ireland.
Eos runs a daily service between London Stansted and New York in a re-configured Boeing 757 with 48 seats.
Iberia losses rise sharply
Iberia, the Spanish national carrier, posted a net loss of 45m for the first quarter of 2006, a sharp rise on the 16m loss for the same period in 2005.
The airline blamed the "steep hike" in fuel costs which were 80m higher in the first three months than they were a year ago.
The airline has also suffered from strong competition from low cost carriers.
But it reported a rise of 7.9% in operating income from 1.1m to 1.2m, the vast bulk from passenger traffic. Its load factor was also up nearly 1% to 75.7%.
Iberia recently announced it was taking a 20% share in a new low cost carrier in Spain which would be launched later this year.
