INCIDENTIALLY: Well it feels like the wrong team, but the Israel Ministry of Tourism has jumped into bed with Arsenal and signed a ”350,000 deal to promote the country to Gunners” fans.
Beaches, attractions and cities will be flashed up alongside the pitch on billboards at the club”s new Emirates Stadium next season as Israel attempts to boost its UK and global tourism.
Announcing the deal, tourism minister Avraham Hirchson and Arsenal managing director Keith Edelman, pictured, said the move is designed to broaden the country”s appeal.
Images of the country will also appear in club magazines, on its website and on TV screens around the ground.
Quite what the other lot in north London think to the sponsorship is anyone”s guess.
