GPS supplier Dash has created its first internet-connected GPS system for cars, Dash Express. The device allows the driver to plan and modify their route based on current traffic conditions rather then direct route alone. The system, due to be released early next year in the US only, gives the driver a choice of three routes to the destination based on traffic flow data and reports from other Dash users on any traffic hold-ups.
Dash Destination Search is another web-based facility that enables you to search for locations and facilites much like you would on an Internet search engine. Added to this is Dash Send to Car, that allows users to send address information to the device via their desktop or laptop, through internet browsers or Microsoft Outlook.
