Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) said total sales in 2005 rose by 12% to $22bn while net revenue rose by 15% from $1.04bn in 2004 to $1.19bn last year.

Carlson said that as part of its three year CWT 007 programme, it had increased the number of its consultants around the world from 470 to more than 700.
This programme, launched by Hubert Joly, CWT president and ceo, aims, among other targets, to expand its consultancy services.
Mr Joly said CWT's gains were due to the growth of the business travel market and highlighted the value of the services CWT provided.
He added: "It also shows that we are making tremendous progress in becoming a high-tech, professional services provider, delivering savings, service, and security to our clients around the world."
Star picks Lufthansa Systems for ACAP project
The Star Alliance has picked Lufthansa Systems to build its Alternative Content Access Platform (ACAP).
The new platform, which is part of Star's plan to cut the $2bn its 16 members spend a year on GDS fees, will be available in Europe this year.
The Alliance said it would then be "gradually" expanded around the world but gave no timetable.
Farelogix, a travel technology company, will also be involved in the project with Lufthansa Systems.
Star signed a deal with two GNEs, G2 Switchworks and ITA Software last December to provide different distribution channels via the ACAP for its members.
Horst Findeisen, vp commercial for the Alliance, said the deal with Lufthansa System "will allow us to bring a state-of-the-art product onto the market, setting new industry standards in distribution and business travel."
