BMI has confirmed Monday 16 May as the start-up of its four times weekly service to Mumbai (Bombay), the airline one of the beneficiaries of a new air service agreement between the British and Indian governments. A three class Airbus A300 will be used for the flights offering unique on-board chefs in business class. The airline plans to use the A330 on a new Riyadh service on the days it is not operating to Mumbai. British Airways has dropped Riyadh.
