NETJETS, which claims to be Europe”s largest executive aviation company
has taken delivery of its 100th aircraft, a Raytheon Hawker 800XP.
This is the current version of the de Havilland 125, the world”s most
successful business jet in its class, which first flew from Hatfield
as long ago as August 1962. NetJets Europe, a specialist in fractional
ownership, is a division of the US corporation of the same name.
Normally the company operates in a very incognito fashion. The new
Hawker will carry the NetJets insignia ” for a limited period of time.
It is accepted that the boom in fractional ownership is due to
increasing congestion at the major airports, a general prosperity in
the developed nations, and the loss of Concorde. We see here Mark
Booth NetJets CEO.
