Virgin Trains is launching a new business travel portal targeting small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
The UK rail franchise is due to unveil the Railblazers online portal during an event at the International Festival for Business in Liverpool later today (June 15) - Virgin is billing Railblazers as a “one-stop shop for business rail travel”.
The new service is free to use with no credit card or booking fees. It allows firms to make bookings, as well as adding users and departments to its account to enable one central train travel tool for the whole company.
Tickets can also be collected without having to produce the card that was used to purchase them.
Virgin Trains says that the new Railblazers website will be supported by a “dedicated UK-based team for clients”.
Group commercial director Graham Leech said: “We know that many SMEs face challenges getting ahead in business, which is why we support them both as suppliers and as customers.
"We are fully committed to supporting small businesses in the UK by creating bespoke offers designed to enable their travel across the Virgin Trains network, facilitating face-to-face meetings which are vital in securing deals and maintaining business relationships.
“The Railblazers portal is designed to make rail travel easier for SMEs across the UK.”
