Online travel agency Travix has joined Amadeus’ NDC-X programme.
Through the partnership, Travix will provide input into the design of an NDC-based Amadeus Web Services solution that will fit the needs of global OTAs. The solution will allow agencies to shop, order and pay for flights and related services, as well as add ancillaries and services to the booking using the NDC standard.
As part of the NDC-X programme, the companies will work together to look at use cases of the standard for OTAs and release incremental versions of the solution. In the first phase, the platform will give agencies access to aggregated NDC and non-NDC content, while the second phase will look at servicing requirements post-booking, such as changes, cancellations or adding ancillaries.
