Travelport has launched its latest version of ‘Smartpoint’ - a desktop tool for travel agents.
The travel technology firm claims the latest version of Smartpoint will make booking travel easier and more profitable for travel agencies.
Smartpoint includes Travelport’s ‘Rich Content and Branding’ merchandising solution, which enables airlines to more effectively present the value proposition for their products through detailing their offers, including ancillary and upgrade services.
“[Smartpoint] enables consultants to sell a wider range of air, hotel and car content, reduce training time, improve sales productivity, earn new revenues and provide higher levels of service to their customers,” said Travelport.
Other features added to Smartpoint include: Improved navigation, interactive airline seat maps and better marketing of ancillary services such as bags and lounge access.
Travelport's managing director of global sales, Jason Clarke, said: "We've spent a lot of time listening to our customers and assessing their unmet needs when it comes to making and paying for air, hotel and car bookings.
“This latest version of Smartpoint is truly ground-breaking in integrating a very sophisticated airline merchandising proposition.”
