Travelport has announced that Simon Ferguson will take up a leadership role in the US in July, while Damian Hickey will move to the UK from Singapore.
Ferguson, who is currently based in London overseeing Travelport’s Northern Europe region, will move to the company’s office in Atlanta, Georgia to take up the role of managing director of agency commerce for the region spanning the US, Canada and Latin America. He takes over from Bret Kidd, who will be taking an alternative position within Travelport.
In the EMEA, Hickey (pictured) will take on the role of managing director of agency commerce following the departure of Rahib Saab earlier this year. He will move from Singapore to Travelport’s UK base in Langley and will take up the position on 1 June. He currently oversees the company’s air commerce business in Asia Pacific.
Jason Clarke, managing director for agency commerce at Travelport, commented: “I would like to thank Bret for his contribution in leading the Americas over the past two years and congratulate Damian and Simon on their new roles. I am confident that leaders of their calibre will ensure we continue to meet the needs of our customers in these critical regions and help them improve their performance with the unique tools and differentiated content only Travelport offers.”
