Capita Business Travel
Capita Business Travel is launching:
- Traveller security tracking: Recently developed and currently undergoing trial with key customers, Capita Business Travel’s web based traveller security tracking pulls information from traveller itineraries to provide geo‐coded tracking based on up to date data pulled from the entire customer itinerary. For travellers where the booking is made via Capita Business Travel, these locations are plotted on a global map with all live booking data instantly accessible once the booking is completed by the customer’s travel manager and/or authorised personnel.
- Pre-travel approval: Recently developed, this bespoke approval process addresses customer requirements for pre-authorisation processes with ‘total trip approval’ across multiple travel elements. Quickly and easily accessible by travellers, the newly developed and implemented process requires completion of an online form with travel details, justification for travel and a nominated ‘authoriser’. Upon acceptance the traveller receives a ‘unique’ approval reference number required and validated within the online booking process. Finally, system-configured policy rules (i.e., spend limits, class of travel) are still applied during the booking process.
- Interactive Campaign Manager (ICM): Capita Business Travel has launched ‘Interactive Campaign Manager’ (ICM), generating in excess of 2000 ancillary savings opportunities amounting to £60,000 in its first few weeks. Automating a historically manual process, ICM communicates soft benefits to travellers encouraging their use of value-adds and reducing overall travel expenditure.
CWT
Travel managers and travellers can test drive the latest mobile app from Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) during the Business Travel Show. CWT To Go provides itinerary information, including flight alerts and gate changes, directly to smartphones on iPhone, BlackBerry and Android platforms. Parker Car Services will be launching the first realtime booking platform, which will allow you to book a cab UK wide. It will be possible to use one phone number or application to book an end to end journey to London Airport fly to Glasgow and have all your cab transfers booked and all tracking information to be live and local. It will be one co-ordination team which can give real-time tracking of any vehicle booked through us throughout the UK. This will both reduce costs and carbon footprint by use of real time closest car technology.
