A former vice-president of wifi tech firm Xirrus has launched a 24-hour “live” serviced apartments booking service.
Sean Larner and wife Avril have launched Simply Serviced Apartments, and he said the agency had 1,500 apartments on its books after three weeks’ trading.
Larner said: “At Xirrus, I used serviced apartments and found it frustrating that when I wanted to book out of hours, at a time convenient to me, I could not get a real-time service. I didn’t want to book at a time that suited someone who runs a 9 to 5 business,” said Larner.
“So we have built a service with 24-hour live chat, with users that want to come to us and talk about their requirements at any time of the day or night. It’s not just a message system.”
Clients include Eircom and Digital Reasoning, and all have a dedicated email address and account manager.
Behind the scenes, CRM (customer relationship management) system salesforce.com allows the company to record leads that come through the website, register properties and handle invoicing and billing on one application.
