Sabre has unveiled a new product for mobile devices which aims to capture data from travel bookings made outside corporate travel programmes.
The Trip Case Corporate app has been designed to allow travellers the freedom to make flight and hotel bookings outside of their company’s programme. This data is then fed back to the travel buyer through a dashboard tool.
John Samuel, senior vice president of Sabre Traveller Solutions, said: “The consumerisation of business travel continues to put pressure on corporations to meet employees’ expectations for simple tools to help them shop, book and manage their business trips.
“Trip Case Corporate closes the gap between the company’s need for efficiency and control, and the traveller’s desire for flexibility and choice.”
Sabre said that the new app would allow travellers to manage their itinerary, make new bookings both in and out of corporate policy, share their business travel plans with their company, and also receive updates while on the road.
Buyers will receive all of the booking data as well as having the ability to send customised messages to the traveller.
Trip Case Corporate will be available through Get There and is one of the first elements of Sabre’s Tru Trip platform which aims to capture travel data from multiple booking sources.
Sabre will be demonstrating the new product at the GBTA conference in San Diego next week.
