Serviced apartment company SACO is rolling out super-fast fibre broadband across its UK portfolio of properties. The new technology will allow customers up to 1,000Mbps speeds, according to the firm.
SACO is making use of residential gigabit broadband provider Hyperoptic’s fibre network. Its services are now live in many properties across London, while installation is taking place in its portfolio in Birmingham, Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Farnborough, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Nottingham and Reading.
The company says Hyperoptic’s services offer speeds 27 times that of what the average UK consumer receives. Business travellers can log in to their apartment’s broadband upon entering the property, giving them the ability to upload and download files in seconds, according to SACO.
A survey by Hotels.com shows 49 per cent of business travellers said free high-speed wifi was their number one deciding factor when choosing accommodation.
