Global TMC network Radius Travel has signed a new exclusive deal with technology provider Travelport.
Radius, which includes Portman Travel as its UK member, will work with Travelport to help each other grow their sales and “deliver innovative solutions for the global corporate travel market”.
As part of the deal, Radius’ 70 global members will be given access to Travelport’s tools including agency selling platform Smartpoint, merchandising services and Travelpoint Booking Feed, which analyses travel pattern and policy compliance.
Shannon Hyland, CEO of Radius Travel, said: “This expanded partnership allows Radius and our member agencies to get the most out of Travelport’s innovative products and services.
“We’re committed to providing our clients with the richest content and highest level of service possible.”
In a separate move, Portman Travel has agreed an expanded partnership with Fair FX which will see the foreign exchange specialist provide an expense and travel cost platform for the TMC’s clients and travellers. Fair FX also has a web-based system that allows clients to issue staff with pre-paid Mastercards, which can be managed online.
Adrian Parkes, Portman’s chief commercial officer, said: “Our partnership with Fair FX has become stronger over the years, driven by clients’ demands for greater choice in expense management. This is an ideal addition to our extensive product offering, giving clients a true end-to-end travel management offering.”
