Jet Airways is to become the first Indian airline to offer inflight wifi services after signing a deal with aircraft connectivity company Global Eagle Entertainment (GEE).
The airline will install Internet connectivity across its fleet of B737 aircraft.
“This best-in-class, customer-focused initiative will provide superior entertainment and communication options to guests and we are confident that it will set new benchmarks by delivering high quality, global entertainment content to guests’ personal devices,” said Gaurang Shetty, senior VP commercial, Jet Airways.
Jet Airways also announced its quarterly financial results which sees the airlines report profits of $16.9 million for the three months ending December 31, compared to a loss of $23.1 million for the same period last year.
Jet Airways currently operates more than 300 flights to 73 destinations.
