Iberia has introduced inflight wifi and text messaging on long-haul flights between Europe and the Americas.
The Spanish carrier, which is part of IAG, has started offering inflight connectivity through a deal with On Air for passengers travelling on transatlantic routes.
Iberia said that both Mobile On Air and Internet On Air will be installed on 25 Airbus A330s and A340s by next year.
Ian Dawkins, CEO of On Air, said: “There will be no more waiting to update your social media status or wondering what’s happening in the office. Passengers can be connected on routes across the whole world.”
