The former UK boss of a global technology firm has been promoted to a top job in North America.
Stephane Durand was Amadeus’ commercial director for the UK & Ireland between 2004 and 2009.
He then returned to the company’s Nice base in the South of France to take on a global role in online and leisure sales.
But the Frenchman has now been appointed chief commercial officer of Amadeus North American, and will assume responsibility both its business and leisure travel agency customers.
In a letter to its customers Amadeus CEO for North America, Scott Gutz, said of Durand: “…his tremendous experience and expertise, will provide synergies in our sales, account management, sales engineering and consulting practices to best leverage our resources and serve our customers.”
In the same letter it was announced the ex-TRX boss Vic Pynn had been appointed chief operating officer for Amadeus North America.
