Eurostar is offering passengers access to content from Amazon Prime Video via the train company’s new app.
The video content, which includes Amazon’s own shows such as The Grand Tour, The Man in the High Castle and Transparent, is available on Eurostar’s fleet of E320 trains.
Eurostar passengers can use the app to access Amazon content using their own mobile devices, which is in addition to the train operator’s existing range of TV shows and films.
The company said it was the first European transport operator to offer Amazon content onboard its services.
Neil Roberts, head of digital at Eurostar, said: “Our onboard entertainment system offers passengers more than 300 hours of free content, all available through the new app, accessible on their own device.
“With our new Amazon Prime Video partnership, we’re delighted to offer our travellers even more choice, as they speed across the Channel on our new trains.”
Eurostar’s new app also offers services such as live train information, mobile tickets, the ability to update and change bookings, plus a digital loyalty card allowing access to the passenger’s Club Eurostar account.
Club Eurostar was set up by the train operator as a new loyalty scheme earlier this month.
