Business Travel Show is to introduce two new areas for the event in 2014 focusing on hotels and sustainable travel.
The two-day show, which will take place at Earls Court on February 4-5, will add an International Hotel Village, as well as a CSR and Sustainability Business Travel Zone.
These two new areas will run alongside existing components such as the Travel Show Conference, Business Travel Technology Showcase, Airline Pavilion, ASAP Pavilion and ITM Village.
Event director David Chapple said: “Hotels are the second largest area of interest behind airlines for our hosted buyers who have also told us they are keen to meet more suppliers from around the world.
“The CSR and Sustainability Business Travel Zone is being launched in support of the GBTA initiative Project Icarus.”
BTS organiser Centaur said it had already confirmed bookings from 80 exhibitors including Premier Inn, Travelodge, Best Western, BCD Travel, Hotelscene and Raileasy4business which are all taking bigger stands next year.
Other confirmed exhibitors include Gatwick, Concur, Egencia, Hilton, Get There, Japan Airlines, Capita and Bridge Street.
Chapple added that BTS was “investing heavily” in the hosted buyer programme which will be running for a third year.
“A new executive has been appointed who is tasked with bringing even more senior buyers to the show from France, Germany, Spain, Benelux and the Nordics and we are enhancing the hosted buyer conference, which debuted successfully in 2012,” he said.
Business Travel Show’s main rival Business Travel Market announced this week that it would be cancelling its 2013 show, which had been planned to run within World Travel Market in November.
BTS will once again be run alongside the Travel Technology Europe and Hospitality Technology Europe in 2014.
