BCD Travel has become the latest travel management company to sign an expanded agreement with technology specialist Amadeus.
The two companies’ new deal will see them partner on “multiple” initiatives, including BCD using Amadeus’ technology and global reach to help support its operations in new markets. It will also see BCD incorporating Amadeus’ NDC-enabled airlines content.
BCD Travel’s president and CEO John Snyder said: “The expansion of our partnership will provide our corporate clients with more content options, including bringing NDC to life at scale, while streamlining and simplifying our distribution technology footprint and infrastructure.”
The two companies have had a “longstanding” partnership, added Decius Valmorbida, Amadeus’ president of travel.
“The new agreement presents significant potential for mutual growth, and we look forward to partnering with BCD Travel on initiatives to address future challenges and opportunities in business travel,” declared Valmorbida.
The extended deal between BCD and Amadeus comes a week after the travel technology company agreed a new partnership with rival TMC American Express Global Business Travel.
