American Express Global Business Travel has signed a renewed “strategic” long-term agreement to use technology provided by Amadeus.
The two companies said the deal would allow Amex GBT to use Amadeus’ technology to help deliver an “enriched, high-quality customer experience and operational efficiency”.
The TMC will utilise a “broad range” of Amadeus’ products to provide service and support for its clients, as well as disruption management solutions.
Amex GBT will also use the Amadeus Travel Platform to offer the “widest possible” range to travel content to customers, including access to the growing number of NDC-sourced fares from airlines.
Rajiv Ahluwalia, Amex GBT’s EVP of global supplier partnerships, said: “Having the most valuable marketplace in travel means delivering the best-in-class air, hotel and ground content, along with a full suite of servicing products and capabilities for our clients.”
Meanwhile Rajiv Rajian, Amadeus’ EVP and chief commercial officer, travel, America, stressed how its technology could “connect the dots” for business travellers and make their journeys less fragmented.
“Combined with Amex GBT’s expertise and customer servicing, together we can build the journeys and experiences travellers want,” added Rajian.
