Amadeus has announced a profit of €380.6 million for the first half of this year, an increase of 8.9 per cent from the same period in 2013.
Its year-on-year financial and operating results revenue also increased by 8.5 per cent.
The technology firm posted an EBITDA growth of 8.8 per cent, to €702.6 million. Excluding acquisitions, comparable growth reached 6.9 per cent.
In its distribution business, total air travel agency bookings increased 3.8 per cent to €241.8 million.
Amadeus CEO and president Luis Maroto, said: “Amadeus’ core business continues to deliver strong results despite improved but still challenging market conditions.
“The distribution business outperformed the industry enabling us to continue to gain market share,” he added.
