Amsterdam-based meetings management platform Meetingselect has appointed Frank Stoer as its new chief executive officer. He takes over from Martin Bergonje, who held the CEO position since 2019 and is now serving as a director at ZIIN, a group of meeting and event venues located in The Hague.
Stoer joins the company from B2B learning platform Studytube, where he served as strategy director for the past two and a half years and is credited for launching the platform’s AI offerings and driving growth across Europe.
Prior to that, he spent five years as a senior manager at SparkOptimus, a digital strategy consultancy.
At Meetingselect, Stoer will be responsible for “driving the company's next chapter of growth” and leading its AI integration initiatives, following the recent introduction of its AI-powered Booker Dashboard. His appointment also coincides with a renewed and expanded contract with the Dutch government and ongoing global scaling efforts with clients in the technology and pharmaceutical sectors, the company said.
"Frank has the commercial sharpness and the scale-up experience Meetingselect needs at this stage," added the company’s co-founder Anouk Roohé.
Commenting on his new appointment, Stoer said: "Meetingselect has built something real: a global platform with strong product-market fit that both enterprises and venues love, with still a lot of room to evolve and grow. That combination excites me and I'm here to push it."
Meetingselect currently includes more than 500,000 venues across 150+ countries, with a “strong” client base across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.
