Becky Power
American Express Global Business Travel has bolstered its SME team with the appointment of technology specialist Becky Power.
London-based Power, who formerly worked as Google’s managing director for corporate strategy and operations in the EMEA region, has been recruited as Amex GBT’s VP and general manager of global client management for SMEs.
In her new role, Power will have responsibility for “strengthening global client management capabilities” within its SME-orientated platforms Amex GBT Select and Ovation, with “a focus on client retention and business growth strategies”.
Jason Geall, executive vice president, global SME at Amex GBT, said: “We are excited to welcome Becky to our team. Her proven experience in building partnerships and driving commercial performance in a technology environment brings added strength to our focus on growth as a software and services company in the vast SME sector.”
The company said in a statement that Power will have a “focus on retention and delivering tech-enabled growth for customers”.

Capturing more business from SME clients has been one of the core strategies of Amex GBT in the past few years.
