Hull-based travel management
company Good Travel Management has launched a new division to expand into the exhibitions,
events and trade missions market.
GT Events will build
upon the services already provided to corporate clients and the
company will recruit two exhibitions and events specialists to add to the
existing team.
Ian Cutts joins GTM as events manager having worked within the travel
sector for over 23 years.
Cutts said, “I’m really
looking forward to bringing together my skills alongside my commercial and
supplier relationships to build a new programme as the global events and
exhibitions sector starts to rebuild. We start with Medica in Dusseldorf in
November 21 and then will be launching our full listing for 2022 shortly.”
Darren Wilkins will join the team in September in a sales and relationship
management role.
Managing director Kevin Harrison said, “We’ve worked in this
area for many years however the expertise and connections that Ian and Darren
possess will help us to take a major step forward at a time when larger events
have been sorely missed from the business scene due to Covid.
“We are already working
on several exhibitions for late 2021 and 2022 and the appetite is certainly
there. Whilst virtual exhibitions and events were able to bridge a gap during
Covid, they do not replace the value and benefit you gain from face-to-face
relationship building, learning and experience.”
