Travel Counsellors is bolstering its business travel offering
by joining the GlobalStar Travel Management network of TMCs.
The company says the partnership will allow it to deliver a
personal service and market expertise to clients within a global framework, as
well as access to discounted air fare types and hotel rates and local emergency
support.
Travel Counsellors for Business was ranked the 16th
largest TMC in the UK in Europe’s Leading TMCs 2021. The company said it has
continued to see an uptick in corporate client travel activity, recording more
than £1 million in business travel bookings each week for the past 10 consecutive
weeks – double the amount seen in the same period last year.
Commenting on joining GlobalStar, Travel Counsellors’ MD for
corporate travel Kieran Hartwell said: “We are excited to be partnering with
GlobalStar, as this will enable our corporate travel counsellors to win, retain
and grow their client relationships on a multinational level. The network gives
us an unrivalled global hotel programme and client technology portfolio to
broaden our suite of offerings, as well as allowing us to work with a community
of likeminded travel management experts focused on taking care of their
clients.
“We are increasingly seeing that smaller businesses have the
same expectations as larger multinational companies when it comes to business
travel.”
James Stevenson, CEO of GlobalStar Travel Management, which
ranked as the third largest TMC network in Europe, added: “This is an exciting
addition to our network and builds our bench strength in the UK, one of our key
driver markets.”
