TMC network Lufthansa City Center International (LCCI) has signed an extended deal with travel technology specialist Amadeus giving its agencies access to more hotel content.
The two organisations, which have been working together for 30 years, have agreed a commercial framework to boost hotel bookings by providing content through hotel chains, aggregators and Amadeus Value Hotels.
Amadeus will also continue to be a preferred technology provider for LCCI’s agencies as they recover from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lufthansa City Center International is the fourth largest TMC network in Europe, according to the list of Europe’s Leading TMCs 2021, compiled by BTN Europe.
The LCCI agencies will have access to more hotels through Amadeus Selling Platform Connect, including Amadeus Value Hotels, which features net rates from more than 500,000 hotels allowing them to set their own rates and margins.
They will also be able to use Amadeus’ platform to book accommodation from online travel agency Booking.com.
Martina Groenegres, managing director of Lufthansa City Center International, said: “Our new agreement will help us boost hotel bookings with content derived from hotel chains, aggregators and Amadeus Value Hotels from across the globe.
“In addition, with Amadeus’ customised training, knowledge sharing, marketing and communication initiatives, we believe LCCI can generate booking volumes at the same time as addressing the new needs of today’s traveller.”
LCCI agencies will also be able to integrate Amadeus’ hotel content into their own inhouse applications.
Angel Gallego, executive vice president, travel distribution at Amadeus, added: “It’s important that our customers have fast, efficient access to the relevant and best hotel content so they can perfectly match the right accommodation to the changing needs of travellers.”
