TMC network GlobalStar Travel Management has welcomed back one of its founding members, Maritime Travel.
Canada-based Maritime Travel was part of GlobalStar’s original membership when the network was first set up in 2001.
Gary Gaudry, president of Maritime Travel, said: “It is with real pleasure that we are joining the GlobalStar network once again. As one of the original members, we realised great value.
“There is much to learn and to share from technology to client service and everything in between. We are looking forward to working together with our new GlobalStar partners.”
GlobalStar, which was ranked as the fourth largest TMC network in Europe by BTN Europe, has signed a succession of new members this year, including start-up TMC TakeTwo Travel Solutions and China-based Tongcheng Corporate Travel.
James Stevenson, CEO at London-based GlobalStar, said Maritime Travel’s return to the network was an “endorsement of our strategy”.
“It proves that we are doing it right and have created a network that adds value, service, technology and experience to each and every one of our partners,” added Stevenson.
“Maritime’s footprint across Canada will be beneficial to all of our clients, providing that bespoke local knowledge on which we pride ourselves globally.”
